A Tapestry of Triumph
In the heart of every woman lies a story of resilience, a tale of triumph that deserves to be heard. This is the foundation of "Elevate You, Elevate Her: 65 Stories of Women Rising Together," a powerful initiative born from one woman's journey through loss, celebration, and an unwavering commitment to empowerment.
This initiative is more than just a collection of stories; it's a movement. At Saffron Trust, we believe that every woman's journey, regardless of its starting point or current chapter, holds the power to inspire, educate, and elevate others. By sharing these stories, we create a ripple effect of empowerment that extends far beyond the individual.
"Elevate You, Elevate Her" is a testament to the strength found in vulnerability, the power of shared experiences, and the transformative nature of women supporting women. Whether it's a story of overcoming poverty, breaking cultural barriers, achieving educational milestones, or finding inner strength in times of adversity, each narrative contributes to a larger picture of resilience and hope.
Join us in this celebration of womanhood, resilience, and the power of shared experiences. Together, let's create a legacy of empowerment that honors the memory of those who supported us and paves the way for those who will follow.
Your story matters. Your voice is powerful. Let's elevate each other, one story at a time.

2024 Grief Experience Summit & Mixer
The Heart Behind the Summit: A Personal Journey
The inception of this summit is rooted in founder Maria Brown-Spence’s own journey through grief. After the loss of her grandmother in 2012 and the passing of her boyfriend in 2018, she found herself grappling with profound sorrow. The establishment of H2H (Hearts2Heal) in 2019 emerged from a desire to help others facing similar heartaches. Utilizing social media to share her story, she discovered a supportive community that resonated with her experience. It took nearly six years for her to rise above the depths of her grief, realizing that masking her pain with unhealthy coping mechanisms would not lead to true healing.
Fundamentally, H2H represents a gift to the world, born from the Maria’s journey of navigating grief. Although funding has become more accessible in recent years, she initially self-funded the project with the hope of creating a sanctuary for those in need.

Random Soapbox moments
I want to dedicate this first volume to the child inside each of us who thought they had to carry everyone's,"stuff," on their backs...
It was and still is heavy...
You can put it down now...
It's your time to heal and be whole so the child behind you doesn't have to feel the obligation & weight of carrying yours...
Lady Kay
Day 1:
“We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another, and compare themselves with one another, they do not show good sense” (2 Cor. 10:12 NRSV)
Random Soapbox Moment #1: “I get it, it’s hard not to compare yourself when they’re constantly being affirmed, recognized, honored, admired, desired, elevated & loved. However, always looking at them will have you neglecting what you’ve been called & commissioned to do AND it will paralyze you! So, just keep pushing! Keep pressing! Keep going! Keep obeying! God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM!!”
